Visit Home to Ohio was good...

Well the best medicine I received on our visit home was seeing my daughter Ashley was doing great and learning a lot and growing up. She went to stay with here Aunt Tina and family 6 weeks ago. My wife was working a lot and things were pretty stressful. I was going through some depression and trying to figure out what is going on with myself. So my sister in law ask how she could help and offered to help with Ashley. They live on a farm and it is working out great. Ashley had her first day of school today. We went up to visit her and got her signed up for school and seen what she is doing on the farm. Keith, Tina, Sam and Cindy...THANK YOU for stepping up and loving Ashley through this difficult time in her and our lives. Thank you and God Bless you guys. He answers prayers and we are thankful.

The second best medicine was the grand kids... watching them giving them rides on the scooter and just watching them and listening to their stories they are a hoot. Just relaxing and being me helped the kids to be comfortable with me. They had questions about my legs and my walking and why it was hard to understand me when I talk. Grandma answered the questions and talked to them about how to listen careful and they  might be able to understand grandpa. Shared with them if they did not understand to ask grandma and she will try to help. They were excited when they could understand me themselves.  My wife also explained to them about my raspy voice and that I sound kinda like I am angry or even like a monster but that is just how my voice sounds and to just listen to the words. My wife does a great job helping them to understand the best they can.  But after all the introductions were taking care of we set out to have some fun...

Most of these pictures were taken after our 22 hour trip up from florida so I am thinking I do not look to bad after being up over 24 hours lol...      Will blog some more about more positives happening  tomorrow and possible a video of myself so I can really show the progress.  GoodNight

Maybe not a cure for ALS But def seeing improvement

I just have to share with you that through one of my doctor's it was recommended to check out information on LDN  Low Dose Naltrexone. He said that he read about people with MS taking it and seeing a difference. I checked it out on the internet and said why not what do I have to lose. I started my first dose in the middle of March 2012 the dose was 3mg. I stayed on this dose for 4 months. I first noticed some suttle changes as in range of motion - balance - not near as jumping - walking - coordination - I am excited the changes are getting greater as time goes on. My dose this month changed to 4.5. I just feel better over all. There are little or no side effects. I am not a doctor and know I can not give medical advice but I can share testimony of what is helping in my life. Google this on the internet... ask your doctor... It may not be a cure but the symptoms are making less of a impact on my daily living and at this point in the game that is what counts. It is late and I need to jump of here but I just wanted to get this posted to get people looking, I will be back to share more...Night

Communication ic very important.

Well it's been a week since the last post.Been having a heck of a time with my computer,But my beautiful bride got it fixed.Today was a typical south florida day,It poured, We almost never have a slow soaking rain.It comes down in buckets and a few minutes later the hot sun comes out. Then its turns real humid.Enough about the weather. Today,I was having a pity party and that is never good for me or the people you love.If anything it ads alot of negative vibes around the house.I did sit down and clear my throat and start speaking slow to myself and believe it or not it makes all the difference in the world.I need to remember that when,I speak to my wife. When,I get desperate to get the words out,I raise my voice and it sounds like,I am yelling and my wife gets frustrated.I dont blame her a bit.Comunication is so important in a marriage.I wish,I would of done more of it when,I was able to speak clear. If your married and your reading this take the time to stop and listen to your wife and kids,You will see all the difference in the world.Listening to what they say tells them they have value and they are important. Some days,I feel like things are getting better and some day it feels like,I am getting worse.I am convinced that the way you think you feel is the way your going to feel.Anyway now my computer is fixed,I hope to post a little each day.Gotta go Bcool.

Well,I made it back one day later.Today,I was thinking how lonely life can be when,I quit working and spend most of the time at home. Also living in florida now makes it tough. There has only been a handfull of people that stopped by the house when,I was in ohio.People have a hard time with visiting a friend that has been diagnosed with a terminal illness. What do you say to them,How are you doing. Also to make things worse my speach is very slurred. So,I have made up my mind.I need to venture out a couple of times a week and go fishing,I love to fish.As you can see by the pixs my beautiful wife posted that she surprised me with a fishing trip. She is the most unselfish person you will ever meet.Gotta go hope to post later.Bcool

Update my status on life

Well it's been awhile since the last blog. Here is a update of what has been happening in my life.As you can see,I am still walking. But,I have got to be holding on to something.I was thinking the other day.How could,I explain what it feels like for me to stand and walk.So this is what,I came up with.Drink a fifth of jim beam, six or seven beers and four or five shots of sour mash moonshine. Then strap on a pair of ten foot stilts. We are in florida. My wife is down here working at the nuke plant. We would love to be back home in ohio,But this job is a year long and the money is great.MY WIFE WORKS HER ASS OFF.So we can afford all the different supplements and homeopathic herbs. Here is a laugh,My wife has great insurance and they will pay top dollar for treatment that has little or no effect on the problem. But buy a bottle of herbs, plants and roots that has been a huge benefit to my health and if you would ask them to pay for that bottle they would laugh and hang up on you (go figure)If,I would of just stuck to the conventional meds,I would be alot worse off or dead. Thanks to my wifes relentless pursuit of detoxification and natural medicines that have extended my life maybe to old age and made the quality of life so much better.(THANKS BABE).a.l.s. IS PART OF MY LIFE NOT MY LIFE.I was stuck in that pit for awhile and stroll back there once in awhile. It does nothing but bring you down and those around you. This disease affects every one around you(CALLATERAL DAMAGE).I hope to start posting something everyday,We will see,I have been telling myself when you start something follow thru and finish.I am a new work in progress.(OBOY).Blog at ya later.Bcool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
